Interview with Captain Mark Schlegel and Peter Bondi on the history of the Sheffield Lighthouse in Norwalk CT

Sheffield Island Lighthouse

Lighthouses embody the maritime heritage of the United States. In Norwalk Connecticut one of these treasures still stands in part due to a great restoration project.  It sits on Sheffield Island one of the islands of the Norwalk Archipelago.  A bright blue ferry rides out to the island each summer and early fall bringing visitors the opportunity to explore history and the natural beauty of the islands and it's wildflowers and wildlife.  Enchanted from my trip to the island, I was curious to hear more about it's History. Captain Mark Schlegel and Peter Bondi were my guests on a program about Sheffield Island.
