Christina Show: Interview with Chocolatier, Fritz Knipschildt

I was delighted to chat with the danish born chocolatier and chef ,Fritz Knipschildt. He extolled the wonders of chocolate and the creativity he has employed in his culinary enterprises. He is the founder and CEO of his own House of Chocolates KNIPSCHILDT CHOCOLATIER LLC.

Maitre Fritz Knipschildt educated me on the complex processes of developing fine chocolates from the cacoa bean on plantations around the world to the finished chocolates that sit in the beautiful boxes. Like fine wine chocolate has joined the ranks of connoisseur food, especially

rare dark chocolates that are combined with secret flavors that enhance the experience of

eating chocolate.

Fritz has created a book about chocolate which will soon be published by Wiley.

Chef Fritz Knipschildt’s artisan chocolates and creative menu offerings via Chocopologie Café in South Norwalk at 12 South Main Street .Fritz Knipschildt is a master chocolatier. His chocolates have been featured on such TV shows as CBS This Morning, NBC Today, Martha Stewart Cooking and Fritz has been a special guest on television shows such as, "Behind the Bash" with Giada de Laurentis and "Throw Down" with Bobby Flay His line of chocolates have been well received and featured in Gourmet, Oprah, and Chocolatier magazines. And his retail partners include Dean & Deluca, Balducci’s and Whole Foods Market. Gourmet Magazine named his mouth watering classic truffle “..one of the top three truffles in the world.

Fritz Knipschildt a native of Denmark moved to the USA in 1996 and founded Knipschildt Chocolatier LLC in 1999 and opened café Chocopologie in South Norwalk in 2005. His European background, the formal education as a Chef in Denmark along with his training in France and Spain, have blended with his American experiences to influence his chocolates and confections. In 2006 Fritz was selected as part of the "40 under 40" cadre in Fairfield County for his extraordinary business leadership and accomplishments
