Interview with filmmaker Ana Sofia Joanes

Filmmaker Ana Sofia Joanes talked to me about her documentary, FRESHTheMovie, The film tells the story of farmers, like farmers Joel Salatin of Polyface Farms and Russ Kremer of the Ozark Mountain Pork Cooperative, who are pioneers in the fight to change the quality and methods of food production in America.
FRESHTheMovie is distributed by citizens who hosting screenings of the movie in their communities. The documentary has become the impetus for a grassroots movement (70,000 strong and growing) of change in food production and the formation of a community of involved people in pursuit of Fresh food, new ideas and advocacy for reform of America's industrial agricultural methods.
The FRESH movement supports and encourages local and organic farming
and informs people of the value and importance of eating fresh food.

The interview with Ana Sofia Joanes airs on the Christina Show on Cablevision's Channel 88 in CT., Tuesday August 9th at 8:30pm and Thursday August 11th at 5:30pm. I am inspired by Ana's passion to do what is right and to invest her talent, energy, time and money to improve people lives. I spoke to her in her apartment in Brooklyn, New York and walked away from the interview thinking how each of us has a role to play in being a part in creating better food and a better world. Our interview was long therefore this program is part one-Look for part two in the coming months ( date to be announced).
